Ci Siamo sits at 440 West 33rd Street, Suite 100, tucked between 9th and 10th Avenues in Manhattan West: a few minutes from Hudson Yards, Penn Station, and Moynihan Train Hall, which matters more than you'd think when guests are arriving from three airports and two states. It's part of Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group, and the name translates to "here we are."

Chef Hillary Sterling's kitchen is built around live fire. The hearth is the heart of the dining room, and the menu that comes off it: charred focaccia in cast iron, handmade pastas, whole fish, bistecca. The restaurant earned a spot on the New York Times' list of NYC's top new restaurants when it opened. The wine list is deeply Italian, and the cocktails deserve specific praise: the spritz list and the specialty cocktails (including a tequila-and-Calabrian-chili one called the Calabrita) are delicious both to drink and to photograph.

Ci Siamo's private event space is a fully private third floor, reached by elevator, with its own restrooms, not a curtained corner of a working dining room. What you get:

• Floor-to-ceiling windows with Empire State Building views. As the evening goes on and the building lights up, your window becomes the backdrop of every photograph.

• A private bar stocked with the restaurant's most popular cocktails and wines, just for your group.

• The Terrace, a sprawling private outdoor space included with the reservation, available seasonally May through November, weather permitting. No tents, no heaters.

Capacity: up to 50 seated or 75 standing in the private dining room. A full restaurant buyout takes 100 seated or 250 standing, with custom pricing.

As of 2026, there is no room fee, the structure is a food and beverage minimum plus per-guest menu pricing, which makes the math refreshingly honest.

That Sunday number is the most underrated thing about this venue. A $3,000 dinner minimum, year-round, in a private Manhattan room with Empire State Building views — for a small wedding reception at a restaurant of this caliber, it's one of the best values in the city, and almost nobody asks about it.

Timing: dinner arrivals book between 5:00 and 9:00 PM, with the space yours for up to four hours, ending by 11:00 PM. Lunch arrivals run 11:30 AM–1:30 PM with the room held until 3:30 PM.

Cake: the restaurant can make its own at an additional cost and with a timely notice. A 6" round that feeds 6–8, or half sheet (feeds 25–40), in dark chocolate with espresso-vermouth buttercream or white lemon with toasted meringue.

A wedding reception option

The couple came from a full Catholic mass in the Bronx and portraits in Central Park — on a 100-degree day, no less — and walked into that third-floor room at 6:30 PM to a family already seated, a private bar already pouring, and the Empire State Building already glowing through the glass. The room is generous to cameras. The window light is soft and directional throughout dinner, the warm interior tones flatter every skin tone, and the space is compact enough that you can cover the toasts, the table conversations, and the cake cutting without ever being far from any of it.
